Needs Assessment

Segmenting your client or donor base

Managing a cohort of 100 people as if they were all the same doesn't work - we can do better by managing segments or sub-cohorts clustered by needs, context, preferences or other data.

Segmenting your client or donor base
Challenge

Everyone is an individual with unique context and needs, and so case managers and frontline staff need to adjust programs for those needs, but there are limited resources and time to do this.

Solution

Statistical analysis of your client data can reveal hidden patterns and similarities between groups of people that enable them to be grouped into 'segments' or groups with related needs. This enables teams to deliver more tailored service, for example to people with higher needs in certain areas compared with others. It helps us identify participants who might be able to become future peer workers, and those who achieve the best outcomes.
